The Quindaro central business district at 5th Street and Kanzas Avenue is seen on the right center. The buildings at the extreme right adjacent to each other are from top to bottom, the Wyandotte House Hotel, the Jacob Henry Building, and the Otis Webb Building. One of Quindaro's cemeteries is seen located in the upper left. The original Quindaro Municipal Cemetery is located at 38th and Parrallel in Kansas City, Kansas. The cemetery seen in this map was also used by residents of Quindaro, especially after the town lost its official charter in 1862. The middle building on the southwest corner of Kanzas Avenue and Fifth Street is the office of the Quindaro Chindowan. The red line in the upper right hand section of the image marks the south bank of the approximate course of the Missouri River in 1855.
