About The Morgue
Welcome to The Morgue, Kansas City Kansas Community College's premier author subject index to English language journals within the field of Mortuary Science.
The need for a computerized indexing system to support students of Mortuary Science has been apparent for many years. The Morgue attempts to provide students, scholars and researchers with an on-line tool specifically targeted at the literature in field of Mortuary Science.The database can be searched by subject heading by scrolling through the subjects indexed list. The database can be searched by author's name by scrolling through the authors indexed list.
At this stage in its development, The Morgue does not index articles relating to association news, conventions, interviews, features, reader's forums, advertisements, classified ads, obituaries, or briefs.
Reprint Requests
Kansas City Kansas Community College Library will honor requests for copies of articles that are indexed in The Morgue. Requests will be filled in accordance with applicable copyright laws. Kansas City Kansas Community College Library has been very pleased with the tremendous response that The Morgue on-line indexing database has received. The number of requests for copies of articles has continued to grow. Due to this steady increase in requests for photocopies it has become necessary for the KCKCC Library to begin charging a fee for copying and delivering of articles indexed in The Morgue. Starting on March 1, 2003 the following rates will take effect.
- $3 per article to be photocopied and delivered via First Class US Mail
- $5 per article to be photocopied and delivered by fax.
We will continue to provide the prompt and accurate delivery of articles but budget and staff limitations have necessitated this change in our policy.
Requests for copies of articles should be emailed to or faxed to (913) 288-7606.
Please include your mailing address or fax number for delivery with all requests.
